MyConnect is an Australian company that sorts utility connections when you move house — electricity, gas and internet, all in one call.

The approach

MyConnect had just landed a new brand identity by Louise Brough, including Homer, a house-shaped mark with no motion language behind it.

I approached them with hand-drawn concept sketches showing how it could move.

That pitch turned into two pieces of work.

Load Screen Loop

MyConnect's three brand icons, animated as a seamless bounce for the product's load screen.

Delivered as a Lottie file, clean integration, none of the file-size overhead of video.

Live in production, greeting every user on load.

Social Sting
Three ways to bring Homer to life

I developed three directions, each built on the same beat , anticipation, then payoff , and each pulling from what MyConnect actually does.

MyConnect selected Option 1 — Turn the lights on.

First pass animation with sound design.

Motion tests for the wordmark reveal.

Concept and first pass animation complete. The campaign didn't move to launch, so the piece lives here rather than on MyConnect's social, shown with their permission.

'Great communication throughout the project and always easy to work with. Really appreciated Éabha's responsiveness and willingness to collaborate to bring the project together.'

Justyn Harris, Marketting Coordinator.
